Dualit tableware

The Dualit brand was founded in 1952 by Max Gort-Barten. Today, the company is iconic in the kitchen accessories industry and famous for its classic brewers. Gort-Barten was founded in Germany but later moved to England. There he set up his first factory with the intention of producing one of his many inventions, the first of which was a cocktail shaker. Invention number two becomes a water heater with a dual-function element and a lamp, called the "Dual Light Heater", from which the name of the invention was derived. His most successful product was the portable fireplace, patented in 1946.

Handmade fireplaces and solid craftsmanship

The construction and design of the fireplace evolved over the years. Dualit's bridges will soon be in luxury hotels, department stores and bars across the UK. During the 1990s and 2000s, the range rapidly develops with kettles, coffee machines and other types of mechanical kitchen accessories. Dualit now also produces its own tea and coffee ampoules for its Espresso machines. Dualit's products are designed to last, so each product goes through a lifetime test as part of the production process. Many of Dualit's products are still made by hand and each stand bears its name on the bottom plate of each chest as a testament to the solid craftsmanship.
