Otello Marcato was a man with ambition and a passion for his craft. In 1930, he set up a small workshop behind his house to create the very first pasta rolling machines. With determination, he cycled around the neighbouring villages to show how these innovative machines could make traditional Italian recipes easier and quicker to prepare. His creations soon became increasingly popular, leading to the opening of the first Marcato factory in Campodarsego in 1938. Since then, the factory has expanded several times, but it's still where every component in their range is made with meticulous attention to detail. Thanks to Otello's ambition and entrepreneurial spirit, generations of families have been able to embrace his beloved homemade recipes quickly and easily at home.

Italian cuisine available to everyone

In 1962, the first order for pasta machines came from abroad. This first shipment of machines to Philadelphia was the start of an international business that has since spread to more than 80 countries. Through a continued commitment to high quality products and customer satisfaction, the now international company continues to experience success in bringing joy to pasta lovers around the world.

In 1965, a new machine came into the world - Atlas. This pasta machine is now an iconic symbol of tasty Italian food all over the world, as well as a tool for expressing creativity through cooking. It has enabled many chefs to explore the limits of their culinary skills and delight the taste buds of hundreds of thousands of people all over the world.
