The Plywood Mobile - Eames Special Collection is designed by Charles & Ray Eames for the Vitra brand. The mobile is part of the limited collection Eames Special Collection 2023. In the early 1940s, Charles and Ray Eames carried out a series of experiments with the aim of refining their plywood molding techniques. It led to the creation of two objects whose biomorphic forms are reminiscent of Ray's artwork. The Eames family hung them like mobiles from the ceiling of their apartment in Los Angeles. The mobile is made of plywood that has been varnished. It comes in two different models.
