Touch Stool Pill is one of two stools from the Touch Collection, designed by Studioilse for Zanat, a Bosnian brand with a focus on solid craftsmanship in wood and traditional carvings. Consistent throughout the Touch collection is the combination of rustic woodcarving with a modern elegance. Touch Stool Pill has an oval seat that rests on a base with an x-shaped profile. Made by hand from solid wood, it is available in a wide range of wood types and finishes. The stool has a textured surface that is carved by hand, giving Touch its characteristic look and feel. Touch Stool is equally suitable as additional seating or as a small side table.The Touch Collection is created with a special technique where the surface of the wood is carved freehand, giving it a rough texture, designed to appeal to the impulse to want to touch the furniture. The design is intended to be an analogous way of engaging with the environment in our increasingly digital age. Because of the craftsmanship, each Touch Collection piece will be one-of-a-kind.
