Lumiere XXS is a table lamp from Foscarini, Italy, designed by Rodolfo Dordoni in 2009. The model builds on the original Lumiere from 1990, but has a more pronounced expression in which the contrast between materials and construction plays a more prominent role.
The softly shaped shade in blown glass meets a characteristic three-legged metal base. The combination highlights the contrast between the handcrafted character of the glass and the more technical precision of the metal base. The rounded lines of the shade are balanced by the stand’s more restrained geometry, giving Lumiere XXS a compact yet distinctive silhouette. The Lumiere XXS table lamp is a smaller version within the series but retains the same distinct interplay between glass and metal that characterises the family. A dimmer is included, allowing the brightness to be adjusted to suit different needs and moods.
