The circular table from Fritz Hansen's Table Series, designed by Piet Hein, Bruno Mathsson, and Arne Jacobsen in 1968. A stylish dining table that goes with many chairs. Choose between a walnut veneer or laminate top with an aluminum clad edge. The laminate top is available in several distinct colors and is made of the particularly durable material Fenix laminate, which Fritz Hansen introduced in 2017. Fenix laminate is a nano laminate and provides an extra matte and scratch-resistant surface on the table top. The pillar-shaped base is made of steel and rests on a star-shaped aluminum base.
The inspiration behind the Table Series comes from Piet Hein's ingenious solution to a traffic problem in Stockholm's Sergels Torg. A super-elliptical roundabout that gave rise to the Superellips table with its distinctive spindle legs and has become one of Scandinavia's most popular dining tables and a true design icon from Fritz Hansen. The table has since been introduced in several shapes, sizes, and forms, with fixed or extendable table tops. And with the new Fenix laminate, the design now stands up even more to everyday wear and tear. Perfect for families with children.
