Nesso is a table lamp designed in 1967 by Giancarlo Mattioli and Gruppo Architetti Urbanisti Città Nuova for Artemide. The lamp has a playful design with rounded shapes and stylish lines. Both the lamp base and shade are made of molded ABS plastic with resin. Nessino is available in two glossy colors, white and orange, both of which spread a soft, warm light that is suitable as reading or spot lighting in, for example, the living room. Nesso can also be used as a wall lamp. Light source not included.
Nesso is exhibited at New York’s Museum of Modern Art, MoMA, among other places. A successor to Nesso was designed in 2003, Nessino, which is a slightly smaller version of the classic.
