Vendia is a round table from Fritz Hansen in Denmark, designed by Danish furniture designer and architect Mogens Holmriis. The table is part of the Vendia series, which was developed with smaller spaces in mind and reinterprets traditional garden furniture in a more compact format. This makes the table particularly suitable for balconies, patios and terraces, as well as smaller kitchens.
Vendia features a slatted tabletop and gently curved legs that give the construction a light and balanced expression. The rounded forms contribute to the series’ elegant character, while the compact proportions make the table easy to place where space is limited. Vendia can be combined with the Vendia chair and furniture from the Selandia series. Mogens Holmriis trained as a cabinetmaker in 1974 and later graduated as an architect from the Aarhus School of Architecture in 1985. His longstanding interest in wood as a material and its aesthetic possibilities is reflected throughout his furniture design, where an understanding of materials is combined with a clear focus on form and functionality.
