Lucia Eames Echo Ochre Wool Rug

Lucia Eames Echo is a hand-tufted wool rug from the Spanish brand Nanimarquina. The rug is designed by Lucia Eames and is based on a collage where rhythm and repetition in nature are explored through recurring shapes, contrasts and color fields. The motif has been transferred to textile as a graphic composition with soft lines and organic shapes.

The rug is made of 100% New Zealand wool and has a density of 56,000 tufts per square meter and a total height of 17 mm. The hand-tufted construction is combined with carving technology that creates different levels in the surface and gives the rug volume and depth. The dense wool structure provides a soft surface while the construction is adapted for daily use. The wool rug can be placed in living rooms, bedrooms or other social environments where it functions as both a floor textile and a graphic element. The handmade manufacturing process makes it possible to reproduce the shapes of the design while the material and technology contribute to the rug's structure and durability.
