ES17 is a corkscrew from the Italian brand Alessi. The model was designed by Ettore Sottsass and was put into production in 2021 as part of the Alessi 100 Values Collection.
It is made of beech wood and comes in red, yellow and pink. The shape is based on designed volumes that create an ergonomic grip and make the corkscrew comfortable to hold and easy to use when opening wine bottles.
The production takes place in Italy, near Alessi's headquarters, through a partially handmade turning process. The beech wood comes from sustainably managed forests and the coloring is done with water-based, solvent-free paints.
