A201 is a pendant lamp designed by Alvar Aalto in 1952 that is now being relaunched by Artek. The lamp is made of powder-coated metal and has brass details. The pendant lamp has a sculptural, stripped-down design that is very characteristic of fixtures and furniture designed by Aalto. The lamp was originally designed for the library inside the city hall in Säynätsalo, Finland. The red version of the lamp can also be found above the dining table in Alvar Aalto's private home in Helsinki.
