Chair 01

Chair 01 from Frama is characterized by a straight silhouette with clear references to the chairs that have been used in Nordic auditoriums and churches since the 19th century. The shape reflects the gradual simplification in Danish design, where function and construction are allowed to guide the expression. The result is a chair that feels familiar, but at the same time contemporary in its proportion and presence.

The archetypal design is based on a logical division between legs, seat and back, where each part has a clear role. The chair is stackable and easy to store, which makes it particularly useful in environments where flexibility is required. The stability is a direct result of the clarity of the construction and choice of materials.

Made of birch, the chair highlights the natural structure and grain of the wood. Over time, the wood develops its own patina that further enhances the character of the material.
