Alfombra Lucia Eames Discovery Wool Rug

Alfombra Lucia Eames Discovery is a wool rug from the Spanish brand Nanimarquina. The rug is based on a hand-drawn motif by Lucia Eames, where fragments from nature have been combined into a graphic composition. The lines of the original drawing have been transferred to textile through a combination of kilim weaving and embroidery, with the motif placed against a neutral base.

The rug is hand-woven on a loom and made of 100% handspun Afghan wool from sheep that graze in the mountainous areas of Afghanistan. The wool's naturally wavy fibers give the yarn a varied structure that becomes part of the rug's surface.

As a kilim rug, it has a lightweight and durable construction that is suitable for living rooms, offices and other interiors.
