Mistpouffer is a perfume from the brand Stora Skuggan. It has top notes of eternal and bergamot and heart notes of fig leaf, pine and ozone. The perfume's base notes consist of smoked vetiver, malt sugar and cypriol. The product is vegan and handmade in Stockholm.
The inspiration for Mistpouffer comes from the unexplained natural sound of the same name. The sound is like distant cannon fire coming out of the fog over larger lakes or rivers. Despite scientific attempts to understand the sound, the source has still not been identified. As elusive as the sound is, this fragrance was difficult to reproduce. Stora Skuggan worked for four years and with hundreds of iterations to try to find the perfect balance between distinct and inexplicable, natural but in equal parts supernatural.
