Original 1227 Desk Lamp is a desk lamp from British Anglepoise, designed by George Carwardine in 1935. The desk lamp is the original model of the lamps that are today part of the Original 1227 collection, which also includes table, floor, pendant and wall lamps. The desk lamp is manufactured in high-quality materials with an arm and lampshade in aluminum with a base in steel-coated cast iron. The lamp is available in the high-gloss colors Jet Black, Linen White, Dove gray and with a finish in bright chrome, Bright Chrome. All versions have a textile-covered cable and fittings details in chrome. To achieve the balance of the lamp, the weight of the light source is of great importance. Light source included.
This timeless design classic is one of the earlier lamps George Carwardine designed for Anglepoise and the Original 1227 has since become their icon. The desk lamp has an adjustable arm with mechanical springs that Carwardine invented back in 1931, which makes it flexible and functional. Place the Original in the study or on the bedside table. Original 1227 is available in several different variants and colors.
