Filet serveringsfat

Filet is a serving platter from Gien, France, designed for smaller servings where attention to detail takes centre stage. Its hand-painted decoration creates a subtle and balanced expression that pairs effortlessly with other pieces from Gien’s collections.

Crafted from earthenware and measuring 26.5 x 13.2 cm, the platter features a warm and lively surface created by the natural composition of sand, clay and kaolin. Its elongated form makes it particularly well suited for serving items such as pickled delicacies or smaller accompaniments, where presentation is part of the experience. Each piece is shaped and finished in Gien’s own workshops through a process involving multiple firings and numerous stages carried out by experienced ceramic artisans. The result is a serving platter with subtle variations, where the handcrafted expression contributes to a thoughtful and cohesive table setting over time.
