Point is a chair by Ingridsdotter of Sweden, designed by Jonas Bohlin in 1985 and now reintroduced according to the original drawings. It is based on a consistent approach to form and proportion, where the relationship between the circle and the square takes physical shape in a distinct, graphic silhouette.
The frame is crafted from steel with a powder-coated finish at 30 gloss, giving it a matte, tactile character. The seat and backrest are upholstered in wool and vegetable-tanned leather, materials that work together both visually and functionally. This combination creates a balanced contrast between the restrained and the soft, with every detail carefully considered. The Point chair is defined by a reduced yet expressive design language. It is manufactured in Sweden with a focus on precision and craftsmanship, giving the chair a distinct presence without overpowering the space. It stands as a carefully resolved object where concept, materials, and construction come together in a cohesive expression.
