The 1966 Dining Chair was designed by Richard Schultz for Knoll in 1966. The 1966 Dining Chair is part of Schultz's popular outdoor collection and is a classic, elegant chair that pairs well with the 1966 Dining Table. The chair is available with or without armrests. The frame is made of cast and welded aluminum, with a powder-coated polyester surface that is particularly durable for outdoor use. The chair also has stainless steel supports. The feet come with feet that protect the surface. The seat and backrest are made of woven, vinyl-coated polyester mesh.
Richard Schultz's 1966 Collection is a timeless collection of outdoor furniture. The 1966 Collection has received numerous awards, including the International Design Award in the USA in 1967, the Designers Center Stuttgart Award in Germany in 1969/70, and the ICFF Editor's Award for Outside Furniture in 2007.
