Louis Poulsen collaborates with architects, engineers and designers on many different projects. In order to optimize the ambience, new luminaires are often created for specific projects—which very often later also become part of the standard collection of architectural lighting.

Poul Henningsen has had a major influence on Louis Poulsen. Together, they created a lighting and product philosophy in the late 1920s summed up in three words: function, comfort and ambience. These three keywords still represent what the company stands for today. Some of Louis Poulsen’s iconic products include Poul Henningsen’s PH 5 Luminaire,PLH Design’s LP Charisma King and PH 2/1 Stem Fitting. The PH 5 pendant lamp is today included in Denmark’s cultural canon. Some of the other iconic designers and architects Louis Poulsen has collaborated with include Arne Jacobsen, Anu Moser, Vilhelm Wohlert and Louise Campbell.
