Embroidery Chair is a characterful armchair created by Johan Lindstén for Italian Cappellini in 2016. By taking a tradition of embroidery and new, industrial technology, Lindstén has built a bridge between these two worlds of furniture design. In fact, the embroidery is carried out by a state-of-the-art machine that mimics handmade cross-stitch, using wool.

This highly sophisticated machine produces a pattern in the shape of the four seasons, spring, summer, autumn, and winter. The seat and legs are made of solid ash which comes in different colors depending on the pattern you choose. This, to reflect the feeling that is typical of each individual season. On the back of the embroidery for the Embroidery Chair, plywood veneer is used which is curved, contributing to a more pleasant seating feeling. The Embroidery Chair and its almost antique design can bridge the gap between a modern home with the antique and will quickly become a favorite piece of furniture in the home.
