CH26 is a classic dining chair from Carl Hansen & Søn, which makes it clear at first glance that Hans J. Wegner is the designer. The armchair was designed in 1950 in an attempt to translate the shape of the CH22 armchair into a dining chair. However, no prototype was ever made for the chair, and it would be until 2016 before Carl Hansen & Søn chose to launch the CH26 dining chair together with its sibling CH22.
Shown here is the chair in solid oak with an envelope-woven seat made of natural-colored paper cord. You can configure the CH26 dining chair to better suit your home by choosing a finish in either white-oiled, soaped, clear-lacquered, oiled or black-lacquered oak. It is also possible to get the chair in walnut and with a black seat.
