Liv Chair

Liv is a steel chair from Swedish Ingridsdotter. It was designed by Jonas Bohlin in 1997 and is part of the liv collection, inspired by a rowing trip that Bohlin took in 1994. The boat, also called Liv, traveled from Stockholm to Paris and gave rise to a series of objects where movement, balance and direction were given shape to function. The chair is characterized by its curved back and reference to the shapes of the water. It is made of matt lacquered steel with a seat upholstered in vegetable-tanned leather from Tärnsjö, and can be placed in both private and public spaces where character and a sense of material are central.
