Nordiska Galleriet (NOGA) is relaunching the iconic Orchestra Chair, designed in 1931, in close collaboration with Sven Markelius' family. Sven Markelius (1889–1972) was one of the most influential architects of the 20th century and played a significant role in introducing functionalism to Sweden. He was also a skilled designer and often designed the interiors of his buildings.
The Orchestra Chair, which was Sweden's first stackable chair, was designed for the world-famous Helsingborg Concert Hall in 1931.
