Random Light is a pendant lamp from the brand Moooi. The lamp is designed by Bertjan Pot and is characterized by a manufacturing process where fiberglass yarn treated with resin is wrapped around an inflatable ball to create a three-dimensional structure. When the shape is complete, the inner ball is removed through the opening in the top of the lamp, leaving behind the characteristic, transparent shell that defines the lamp. The result is a pendant lamp with an open and airy expression where material and construction are a central part of the design.
The translucent 3D fabric filters the light and creates a soft lighting that is suitable for living rooms and dining rooms as well as entrances and public environments. Thanks to its spherical shape, the lamp functions both as a light source and as a visual element in the room without feeling heavy or massive.
