Like many other pieces of furniture from the early 1950s, Nyhavn Dining Table - With Flaps is a good example of Finn Juhl's use of Goethe's scientific work "To the Color Theory", which first addressed the question of the nature of colors. With this table it is clear in all the finishes it comes in.

Nyhavn Dining Table - With flaps has a table top in black linoleum with edges in oak or walnut or even fully veneered in oak or walnut. Steel legs are available in black, orange, or light blue and with wooden feet. The table top is fitted with functional brackets that allow the table tops to be removed or hung vertically at either end.
