Pelican Chair is a chair designed by Finn Juhl in 1940. The sculptural chair was relaunched by the House of Finn Juhl in 2001 when it was completely lost because so many copies were produced during Finn Juhl's lifetime. The car is characterized by its organic shape. Thanks to its unique shape, you feel that the Pelican Chair is embracing you like a friendly hug. The chair is upholstered in either sheepskin or leather and comes with a seat cushion. The legs of the chair are available in either oak or walnut. This version of the Pelican Chair comes without buttons but is also available with buttons under the name Pelican Chair - With Buttons.

The Pelican Chair was first shown at the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers’ Guild Exhibition in 1940. The chair stood out with its unusual shape and sturdy legs. The Pelican Chair is a good example of Finn Juhl's design and how far ahead of his time he was. The chair with its surrealistic design fits into most modern interiors and can easily be combined with the Pelican Table from the same series and the Poet Sofa from 1941.
