This is an electric barbecue lighter from Swedish Looft. Designed to light charcoal, briquettes and wood without lighter fluid, it uses superheated air to start a fire in about 60 seconds. With an air temperature of up to 700 °C, it generates a concentrated stream of hot air that ignites the fuel without flame, gas or chemicals. The design is completely electric and requires no refilling. The unit is powered by 1800W, 230V, 50Hz and is equipped with a 300 cm long cord that provides reach at the grill or fireplace. Starting is done via an on/off button and in the base there is an integrated foot that also functions as a bottle opener. When in use, the barbecue lighter is directed towards the charcoal or wood and activated until sparks occur. It is then pulled back slightly to increase the airflow and intensify the ignition.
