Outdoor Easy Chairs

Outdoor easy chairs help to form a cohesive and comfortable patio with a well-balanced expression. In our range, thoughtful construction and ergonomics meet design that elevates the entirety of the garden, terrace, and conservatory.

Here, comfort and elaborate form are in focus, with everything from generous silhouettes that invite long conversations, to more austere expressions that complement your outdoor environment. Whether the easy chair is used for reading, resting, or social moments, the ambition is to let aesthetics and functionality interact in a way that deepens the experience of being outdoors.

The role of the easy chair on the patio

An easy chair is often used as a complement to a sofa group but works equally well as a solitary piece of furniture for relaxation. On a smaller balcony or in a conservatory, neater easy chairs can be a suitable choice to create a functional seating area without taking up too much floor space. Here, models with a lower back or sparser frame are preferable, as they let light through and preserve the sense of space.

These chairs are designed to withstand wind and weather, with materials that are resistant to moisture and UV radiation. An outdoor easy chair offers the same comfort as its indoor counterparts, but with extra durable materials manufactured to cope with outdoor use.

For larger terraces and gardens, more generous easy chairs provide an inviting feeling. Here, one can advantageously group several chairs and form a lounge group together with outdoor armchairs and sofas around a low table or a fire pit, to create a social zone separated from the dining area. Decorating with easy chairs outdoors is about defining the spatiality. By adding suitable cushions and textiles, you can further raise the level of comfort and at the same time tie the colour scheme together with the rest of the décor.

Materials and construction for outdoor use

The choice of material defines both the expression and longevity in outdoor environments. Easy chairs in wood, especially teak, are a strong choice for a natural character where the wood develops a silver-grey patina over time. To maintain the original nuance, regular oiling is recommended.

For a more industrial aesthetic, there are easy chairs in metal, in options such as powder-coated steel or aluminium that require minimal maintenance. These materials often enable visually lighter constructions. Many models combine metal frames with weather-resistant textile or woven rope to ensure good ventilation and comfort.

Although the easy chairs are constructed to stand outside, they benefit from being protected when not in use. Covering the furniture with furniture covers or storing them indoors during the winter months ensures that they retain their function and finish over time.

International design and brands

Our range includes outdoor chairs from international brands such as Cane-Line and Gloster. Cane-Line is characterised by light and functional constructions in weather-resistant materials suitable for both open and sheltered patios. An example is Breeze Lounge, a black easy chair in synthetic rattan with a stainless steel base.

Gloster works instead with more robust materials, often with elements of teak, and a design language that emphasises craftsmanship and soft architectural lines. The range also includes water-repellent cushions developed to handle changing weather conditions without compromising on comfort.

These are complemented by more brands in our selection, providing a broad palette of expressions to create elaborate outdoor environments. When you choose easy chairs from Nordiska Galleriet, you get furniture where design and comfort go hand in hand. Ergonomics are central regardless of expression or material, and the construction is developed to last over time. The range reflects an international design scene where proportions, surfaces, and functional details interact and give the patio a well-balanced character.
