&Tradition is a Danish design company established in 2010 by Martin Kornbek Hansen. &Tradition manufactures lighting and furniture that combine Nordic heritage with contemporary design. The company strives to be at the forefront of design and is constantly looking to create products that we will one day call design classics.

Popular products such as the Formakami lamp series have been produced by collaboration with contemporary designers such as Space Copenhagen, Luca Nichetto and Jaime Hayon. However, &Tradition’s range features not only modern designs by contemporary designers but also design icons such as Flowerpot by Verner Panton and the Bellevue lighting range designed by Arne Jacobsen. As the name suggests, traditions are a large part of the brand’s identity. All the products of the brand are an encounter between craftsmanship and art.

Collaboration with famous designers

Some of the most famous designers &Tradition has collaborated with include Arne Jacobsen and Verner Panton. The latter designed, among other things, the classic Flowerpot lamp, which has become one of the most widely recognized lamps in the world. Flowerpot is available in a number of different designs: as a floor lamp, table lamp and ceiling lamp in several colors. Arne Jacobsen is regarded as the master of Danish design. He helped define Modernism with his clear, clean lines combined with classic craftsmanship. &Tradition offers the Bellevue lamp range designed by Jacobsen, where he brought together the minimalism of the Modernist movement with the functionalism of Bauhaus.
