Aalto Table Rectangular 81B dining table

Aalto Table Rectangular 81B is a dining table from Finnish brand Artek designed by Alvar Aalto. The table is characterised by its rectangular tabletop and clean lines with a pared-back design language. Its simple and thoughtful design makes it a natural addition to both modern and more classic settings.

With its balanced form the table suits a range of settings from the kitchen and dining room to the study. The rectangular top provides a clearly defined and functional surface for both meals and work while the restrained design allows the table to complement different types of chairs and other furnishings. Aalto Table Rectangular belongs to a collection of tables in several sizes and shapes. The different models can be used individually or placed together to create larger continuous surfaces and varied furniture arrangements. This makes the table useful in both private homes and shared spaces where needs may change over time. Through its combination of simplicity and function the table reflects Alvar Aalto’s characteristic approach to design.
