Frandsen rechargeable lamps

Frandsen

Lamps designed by Frandsen are the result of a thoughtful process where light, materials, and form are woven together to create a cohesive experience in the home. From classic models to contemporary interpretations, the design shows how lighting can be both a practical tool and an integral part of a room’s identity.

Many of Frandsen’s most appreciated products – such as the iconic Ball series – showcase the brand’s ability to create timeless expressions. Founder Benny Frandsen launched his first model back in 1968, and his original idea still lives on in every new product: good lighting makes a difference. Today, the collection includes a wide selection of pendants, wall lamps, and other fixtures in various colors and materials, making it easy to find a solution that fits your room and your style.

Collaborations with international designers

A key part of Frandsen’s development is long-term collaborations with international designers. These partnerships allow the brand to continually push the boundaries of what lighting can look like and how it functions – while staying true to its core values. The result is products that blend Scandinavian simplicity with global influences.

Designer Toni Rie is an example of how new perspectives bring fresh energy to the collection. Her design language plays with proportions and contrasts, showing how lighting can emerge from a dialogue between tradition and innovation. These collaborations create lighting that not only fits a space but helps shape its environment.

Light, materials, and form

Frandsen always starts with the role of light in our lives – not just as a practical necessity, but as part of how we experience space, mood, and atmosphere. By working with carefully selected materials like metal, textile, and glass, the brand creates lamps where every detail has a purpose.

The light guides the design – not the other way around. That’s why each product is crafted to create a specific experience, whether it’s a soft ambient glow from a pendant or focused illumination from a wall lamp. The wide selection makes it easy to decorate consistently throughout your home with fixtures that both harmonize and serve different purposes. The goal is for every lamp to not only light a space but contribute to a cohesive and atmospheric whole.

Lighting with identity

At Frandsen, light is more than a technical solution – it’s a tool for creating experiences and giving spaces identity. Each product reflects the brand’s ambition to meet functional needs while also expressing emotion. Lighting influences not only how we see, but also how we feel in a room. With refined and deliberate design, Frandsen shapes environments that feel both vibrant and harmonious.

The design has a clear connection to Frandsen’s Danish heritage and is defined by quality that endures – both aesthetically and technically. This makes the brand’s products a sustainable choice for the long term. With a broad range of models – from graphically clean pendants to sculptural forms – Frandsen offers lighting that enhances the interior without overpowering it. Each model has a distinct character and becomes a natural part of the home.

Collections like Ball and Kyoto have become modern classics. Together, they reflect the breadth of Frandsen’s design – from retro-inspired silhouettes to contemporary takes on Scandinavian design tradition.
