Escargot ceiling lamp is a ceiling light from the French brand Serge Mouille. Designed by Serge Mouille in 1955, the model belongs to the Formes Noires series and is defined by its spiral form inspired by a shell. The fixture is mounted on a round ceiling housing from which a tube extends downward to support a conical aluminum structure. The spiral reflector is stabilized by a white lacquered crosspiece, without the use of a brass ball joint. The construction combines a steel body with an aluminum reflector, available in black or white finishes. The ceiling lamp provides directed light while functioning as a central element within a space. Escargot ceiling lamp is used in both residential and professional interiors where lighting also contributes to spatial composition. The model is available in two diameters, Ø60 cm and Ø85 cm, and can also be configured as a wall-mounted fixture. Each piece is manufactured in France according to the original drawings and issued as a numbered edition with a certificate of authenticity.
