The CH29P Sawbuck Chair was designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1952 and is called the sawbuck chair as it is reminiscent of a sawbuck traditionally used by loggers. Available in oak or beech with different surface treatments depending on the type of wood you choose. The seat comes upholstered in leather with a variety of colors to choose from. It works well as a dining chair or a work chair at a desk. The chair is also available as an unupholstered CH29T, in a combination of oak and walnut.
Like its close relative CH28, the CH29P Sawbuck Chair is designed to be sturdy and has become one of Wegner's most well-known chairs. The chair was taken out of production in the 1970s but returned 20 years later thanks to pressure from Wegner's daughter.
