Allegretto Ritmico is a pendant lamp from Foscarini, Italy, designed by Atelier Oï in 2009. The lamp is part of the Allegretto series and is characterised by a graphite-coloured finish that enhances its modern, graphic expression.
The construction consists of slender metal rods harmoniously joined together to form an open, three-dimensional volume. The slim elements create a sense of movement and rhythm, while the airy structure allows the surroundings to remain visible through the lamp. The form changes visually depending on the viewing angle, giving Allegretto Ritmico a distinct spatial character. When the lamp is switched on, the light interacts with the lines and spaces between the metal rods, creating varying effects of light and shadow. The dark graphite tone highlights the silhouette and gives the pendant lamp a distinctive expression centred on geometry, lightness and movement.
