Chouchin Reverse 2 is a pendant lamp from Foscarini, Italy, designed by Ionna Vautrin in 2015. The design is a contemporary interpretation of traditional Japanese lanterns, with an elongated silhouette and a soft, balanced design language.
The elongated shade is made of white blown glass and finished with a coloured ring at the bottom. The concentrated colour detail creates a distinct contrast with the white glass and accentuates the lamp’s form without dominating the overall design. When Chouchin Reverse 2 is switched on, the blown glass diffuses a warm light into the surroundings while revealing the material’s handcrafted character. The pendant lamp can be used on its own or combined with other models from the Chouchin family to create compositions with varying forms and proportions. Chouchin Reverse 2 is available in two dimmable versions: one with a replaceable E27 LED light source and one with an integrated LED. The version with integrated LED is compatible with PUSH and DALI dimming.
