Tatami wool rug Natural is a handwoven rug from the Spanish brand Nanimarquina. Through close collaboration with weavers in India, Nepal, and Pakistan, Nanimarquina combines traditional techniques with a focus on natural materials and contemporary application.

The rug is designed by Nani Marquina and is part of the Tatami collection. The series is inspired by traditional Japanese tatami mats, reinterpreted in wool. The result is a textile that offers the same sense of structure and lightness, enhanced by the warmth and durability of wool.

Tatami Natural is made from 50% New Zealand wool and 50% hand-spun jute. This combination creates a matte, balanced surface where the rich texture of jute complements the softness of wool. The neutral tone enhances the natural character of the materials. The rug has a low profile and is suitable for both private and public interiors where textile texture is desired without taking visual precedence.
