PlateBowlCup is a small bowl designed by Jasper Morrison for the Italian Alessi. The series was put into production in 2008 and is characterized by Morrison's minimalist design language, where seemingly simple shapes form the basis for the plate's expression and function.
The set consists of four small bowls made of white porcelain. The clean shape focuses on the bowl's basic function and makes the porcelain a central part of the whole. The bowl can be used for both everyday meals and more elegant events. It is perfect for breakfast, dinner or dessert. The dessert bowl is microwave and dishwasher safe.
The PlateBowlCup series is based on a design language where simplicity does not mean that details or proportions are unimportant, but where each part has been reduced to its functional core.
