Cabinet 250

Cabinet 250 is a limited edition storage cabinet from the Finnish brand Artek. The cabinet was designed by Alvar Aalto and is part of Artek's collection of furniture with L-legs – a design language that has become a hallmark of the brand. Archive material shows that Aino Aalto was the first to combine a cabinet with this particular leg construction. The cabinet is made of birch and is based on a simple, elevated expression. It is known as a “cocktail cabinet” and has a proportioned internal structure that makes it useful for both tableware and glassware as well as bed linen or clothes. The design language reflects a functional mindset where storage is given a clear shape. It fits in both smaller and larger interiors and can be combined with other pieces from Artek's range of storage furniture.
