HJW37 pendant lamp with height adjustable function

HJW37 is a pendant lamp from Carl Hansen & Søn in Denmark, designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1962. The lamp has been in production ever since and combines a pared-back design language with functional details that allow the lighting to be adapted to different needs.

The wide shade is made from aluminium and complemented by a suspension plated in 24-carat gold or nickel. The construction provides a warm and pleasant light, while the height-adjustable socket allows the position of the light source to be adjusted for more glare-free illumination. HJW37 is well suited above a dining table or coffee table and can be used in both living rooms and dining rooms. The pendant lamp is available both with and without a height-adjustment mechanism. The version with the mechanism makes it easy to adjust the height of the entire lamp, while the fixed version retains the same characteristic form and adjustable socket. The combination of directed light distribution and thoughtful functions makes the lamp flexible for different rooms and placements.
