Gregg Midi Outdoor is a wall and ceiling lamp for outdoor use from Foscarini, Italy, designed by Ludovica+Roberto Palomba in 2017. Its softly irregular form is inspired by stones smoothed by water, giving the lamp an organic silhouette that changes depending on the viewing angle.
The lamp is made from blown glass with a satin-matt surface that filters the light and diffuses a soft, warm glow. The rounded form and satin-finished glass create an even light distribution without harsh contrasts. Gregg Midi Outdoor can be mounted on either a wall or ceiling, providing flexibility for placement in different outdoor settings. The lamp has an integrated LED light source with warm light and good colour rendering. The light is dimmable via TRIAC, a common phase-dimming technology in which the brightness is controlled using a compatible dimmer. This makes it possible to adapt the lighting to the surroundings and desired light level while maintaining the lamp’s soft light quality.
