Mr. Magoo is a ceiling light from Stilnovo, Italy, designed by Mirco Crosatto in 2010. Its organic, gently undulating shape evokes a floating cloud and gives the light a sculptural expression. The modular design allows Mr. Magoo to be used as a single light source or combined with multiple fixtures to create larger compositions. The series received the Red Dot Design Award in 2015.
The white polyethylene diffuser encloses the light source and provides an even, diffused distribution of light. Together with the white-lacquered metal frame, it forms a cohesive construction in which the materials and colour allow the rounded silhouette to take centre stage. The light spreads across the generous surface, accentuating the soft lines of the form. The Mr. Magoo ceiling light features an integrated topLED light source with phase-cut dimming, allowing the light intensity to be adjusted using a compatible dimmer. The combination of softly diffused light and adjustable brightness makes it possible to adapt the lighting to the needs of the room and the desired light level.
