KK87830 is a stool from the Danish brand Carl Hansen designed by Kaare Klint. The stool was designed in 1930 but was then considered too complex for production. Despite this, it attracted early interest and was published as a concept in several design books. A first prototype was produced in 1956 for a memorial exhibition at Designmuseum Danmark and the model was put into production in 1962, eight years after Klint's death. In 1964, the Propeller Stool was shown at the Copenhagen Carpenters' Guild exhibition arranged by Klint's son Naur Klint. The idea of a foldable stool is historical, but Klint developed the shape with the characteristic propeller pattern that gives the design its light and functional expression. The stool is made of wood with long fibers that strengthen the narrow structure, and the seat is in canvas.
