MT221 Tulip Pendant Lamp

MT221 Tulip pendant lamp is a lamp designed by Danish designer Marianne Tuxen for the Carl Hansen brand. The pendant lamp was designed in 2022 in connection with the renovation of the Carlsberg Academy, the brewery founder JC Jacobsen's villa in Copenhagen. The lamp was designed especially for the Pompeii Hall - a winter garden inspired by ancient architecture. It comes with a mouth-blown opal glass dome, built in three layers. The shiny white glass filters the light and provides even, glare-free lighting. The organic shape is reminiscent of the tulip's petals, while the opening at the bottom lets in directed light downwards. The suspension is made of brushed brass and meets the glass in a soft transition, which enhances the lamp's sculptural expression. The combination of material and shape makes it suitable for both classic and contemporary interiors. The lamp fits perfectly in dining rooms, living rooms or entrances.
