Pelagus is a cushion from Fritz Hansen in Denmark, designed in collaboration with Stockholm-based Note Design Studio. The cushion is specifically designed for the Pelagus sun lounger and follows the shape of the lounger to provide extra softness and comfort from head to toe.
Pelagus is upholstered in a durable, weather-resistant fabric designed for outdoor use. The filling consists of quick-drying outdoor foam with an open-cell structure that allows water to pass through the material. The construction helps the cushion dry quickly after rain, while the foam is designed to retain its shape and firmness over time. The cushion is part of the Pelagus collection, characterised by a contemporary, lightweight design language with a focus on comfort and versatility. Note Design Studio works across disciplines including architecture and product design and considers the relationship between furniture and its surrounding environment. Pelagus complements the sun lounger with a softer surface and is designed for extended periods of outdoor relaxation.
