Watercolors by Hans J. Wegner Art Book

This art book presents a lesser-known area of Wegner's production – his watercolours and drawings. The book is published in collaboration with the Foreningen Museum Wegner and provides a new perspective on one of Denmark's most famous furniture designers.

Wegner is primarily associated with his classic chairs and woodwork, but he also left behind an extensive artistic material. The motifs consist of furniture, interiors, crafts and patterns, but also nature studies, landscapes and people. These images reflect a more personal and exploratory side of the designer – with a focus on colour, rhythm and composition.

The book contains almost a hundred watercolours and places them in relation to Wegner's life and times. It concludes with a biographical section that highlights his work from an art and design historical perspective.
