Toru is a stainless steel toaster from Alessi, designed by the Japanese design studio Nendo. The product is part of the Toru series, where tubular elements are integrated into both form and function. These black, cylindrical details serve as handles or other functional components, contributing to a cohesive aesthetic identity. The name "Toru" means "through" in Japanese, reflecting the series' design philosophy, where material and form interact in a well-considered whole. The toaster's design combines stainless steel with distinctive geometric shapes and details that enhance both its visual expression and user experience.
