Kaari Table Rectangular REB002 was designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec in 2015 for Finnish furniture manufacturer Artek. The elegant collection called Kaari was created by the Bouroullec brothers and was first presented at the Stockholm Furniture Fair in 2015.
Just as Alvar Aaalto's furniture is characterized by L-shaped legs, Ronan and Erwan's table also has a unique system for the leg frame consisting of vertically bent wood and formed steel. It became apparent during the design process that the legs could also be used to support wall-mounted objects such as shelves and consoles. The series that was subsequently created, Kaari, has an attractive silhouette created by the wing-shaped steel structure. Kaari combines Artek's traditional choice of materials with a new and updated design language.
