Here you see the CH36 chair in solid beech with a beautiful seat of natural braided paper cord. The chair was designed in 1962 by Hans J. Wegner for Carl Hansen & Søn. The designer drew a lot of inspiration from American Shaker furniture, which is perhaps most evident in the CH36 model. Wegner also paid great attention to the details in his furniture. Here, for example, he has created a slightly tapered shape at both the top and bottom of the legs for a light and elegant expression. At the same time, the backrest is extremely flexible for the back, so that you can sit comfortably even during longer dinners.
