Model 79 dining chair

Model 79 Dining Chair is a chair from the Danish brand J.L. Møller. It was designed by Niels Otto Møller in 1966 and reflects a developed approach where construction and form are resolved through carefully crafted woodwork. Made from solid wood, the chair is built with precise joinery that defines a clear and durable structure. The backrest is defined by three vertical slats that introduce openness and allow light to pass through, creating a lighter visual presence. These elements also establish a rhythm within the design and contribute to its identity. The combination of soft curves and more defined angles results in a balanced composition where each intersection is deliberately formed. As a dining chair, Model 79 is suited to both residential interiors and hospitality settings and can be paired with a range of table types and materials.
