The CR Folding Ribbon Burgundy wool rug is a hand-knotted piece from the Swedish brand Nordic Knots. The rug was designed by the London-based duo Campbell-Rey and is part of their collection inspired by Nordic neoclassicism.
The design reinterprets ribbons and garlands emblematic of Gustavian interiors from the eighteenth century. Bold ruby tones contrast with red-brown folds in a trompe l’oeil pattern that brings historical ornament into a contemporary context. Folding Ribbon belongs to the collaboration between Campbell-Rey and Nordic Knots and is produced in limited editions with a strong emphasis on traditional craftsmanship.
Each rug is hand-knotted in Bhadohi, India, using New Zealand wool that provides both softness and durability. With a thickness of 12 mm, the rug is Goodweave™ certified, ensuring ethical production and material quality.
